    Re: Free Agent Tracker

The last time that New England's WRs/TEs let them down in a playoff game was 2006. Caldwell dropped two TD passes in that game against Indianapolis.

The Patriots then traded for Randy Moss.

Could we see a similar move this time around?

I really think that Gurode will be our starting center this season. We'll draft a young guy in the early rounds and give him a year to develop into our long term starter. As far as wide receivers, we need a BIG guy. A 6'3" guy would be GREAT for Joe, as long as Cam doesn't make the playcalling predictable (remember the Clarence Moore post route back in the day?).

Colston would be a great addition but I'm sure he'd be too expensive.

    Re: Free Agent Tracker

I would hope for us to sign a solid WR free agent, then draft a WR in the mid rounds, if I end up being right about what players get taken in the draft, there wont be any WR's worth taking in the first two rounds. Like I said, I am expecting a line backer, or an offensive lineman to be selected in the first two rounds, since it's two of our greatest need. Four of our LB's are free agents, two of which are starters, and one of our best linemen is a free agent and will demand too much money, plus our starting center is likely to retire and is probably too old to play at a high level anymore. I understand that Ozzie loves taking the BPA, but I fully expect us to draft for our needs this time around.

Eagles are going to use the franchise tag on WR DeSean Jackson.

Almost every source expects the Patriots to sign Brandon Lloyd, especially since Josh McDaniels is there now.

I read that too but I really don't understand it. Lots of WR on the market if they want to replace Jackson. I know the Eagles usually have a lot of cap space but why spend so much on a guy that they have serious questions about and why make your intentions know so early?

Supposedly Reggie Wayne wants to sign with the Pats.

Looks like the Detroit Lions are going to be gunning for Cortland Finnegan.

Good move for Detroit if they acquire him.

    Yea, I don't know either.

That money could be better spent on getting Vick an actual big bodied target like Colston or VJax or someone like that.

I guess they are hoping that they can get someone to trade for him, but you rarely (if ever) see tag-n-trades. It just doesn't happen.
