Billick Show on WBAL
His show is on tonight in case some of you were going to listen. If enough people flood the email box with hard-hitting questions, he wont have a chance to hide from it. The email is billickshow@wbal.com. I sent the following question to them, hoping he has the stones to answer tough questions:
"Brian,
Ever since you have come to Baltimore, I have been your biggest
supporter. However, one constant has hung over your head since you
have been coach in Baltimore -- an ineffective offense.
So my pointed but respectful question -- Given what transpired last
season with Jim Fassell, how can any fan take you seriously about
being able to turn the offense around when you're in the position you
may have to "fire yourself" from offensive play calling?
Jay

Re: Billick Show on WBAL
That's apparently a rhetorical question, or perhaps a very thinly disguised insult, which means they won't bother with it.
But if I were Billick, I'd answer it this way -- "Well, when I took over the playcalling last season, we did pretty well."
I have problems with some of the playcalling too, but it's not at the top of my list of what's wrong right now.

They won't take any really difficult questions on that show. For obvious reasons.

Billick, "We will not dwell on this loss,we have to move on."
Yes we were not involved in a train wreck, those bodies are not corpses.
They are very tired people taking a well earned rest.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: Billick Show on WBAL
It's easy for us to dwell on yesterday's game. Obviously coaches need to move on the next, win lose or draw, every week. "Dwelling" is different from "learning from," obviously they will watch tape for correctible errors by players and coaches alike and make adjustments - right or wrong - they think are for the best.
But no coach will sit there lamenting losing game X when game Y is coming up in a week, there's no time for that.Festivus
His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

Re: Billick Show on WBAL
Actually I have heard Billick take on plenty of tough callers.
And keep in mind, unless things have changed this season he is the only HC that takes callers and e-mail on his show. Nobody else will even take only the softballs.
My question would be "Why is McNair the starter when he either is unwilling or physically unable to throw more than a few yards?"

What really gives me heartburn is all the mental errors our team has each week. That's what I'd like to know about from Billick's perspective.
And for the record, I still haven't given up on Billick or the team!

Don't coaches usually throw the game film away of a game like this?
I'd send it right to hell where it belongs.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.
