Re: "Experts" pick Giants
Frankly, until the Ravens show ANYTHING, the "experts" have jumped off the wagon.
Everything is stacked against our Ravens right now, such as injuries and no offense.
The only positive is that we are at home.
And we have lost the last two here.
Everything hinges on the offense for the Ravens.
It is that simple.
And right now, until the Ravens offense shows up, the "experts" will now pick against us.

The Ravens have played shit football for a month. Bernard Pollard said in an interview that the team has been exposed. Until they show something it's hard to pick them for any other reason than they are our favorite team

Re: "Experts" pick Giants
What worries me about this game is like others have said, the Giants are desperate and coming off an embarrassing loss. They are going to run the ball and when Eli has time he is dangerous. Our only chance on defense is not giving up any big runs and generating some pass rush. On offense we have to run the ball well which is highly unlikely.

Not sure why this would surprise anyone. Just look at the prediction thread on this board. I would say that 80% of the fans here are predicting a Giants win.

:word This.
Can the Ravens win on Sunday? Sure...if their offense plays up to their potential, doesn't go into long stretches of 3-and-outs, and, most importantly do not turn the ball over, I think the Ravens have a decent shot of winning.
Will the offense do all that? I don't know, but I have my doubts.

Re: "Experts" pick Giants
I can't blame them. The Giants have been schizophrenic, yes, but they've had their moments where they looked like the defending SB champs. They've had those moments even after looking like basement-dwellers.
The Ravens, OTOH, have basically been on a downward slide since beating Cinci in the season-opener, and injuries have seriously exacerbated the problems.

Loved Pollard since he's been here. But this was a little too much...Here's a guy who's banged up. But at the same time, you can't rally the troops, talk down on your team, etc unless your on the field. Pollard hasn't earned that right. Symptomatic of the way this season has gone.
If you are going to try to light a fire under your team's ass, your ass needs to be on the field too. Otherwise, join a message board.

Maybe the "experts" are just picking the team they think is better right now?
Because maybe they have good reason to think they're the better team.
