Re: Reed Released by the Texans (Merged)
I'm beginning to think Rex Ryan has a complex with former Ravens players.

It's true, saw it on CNN. Good timing for Rex, his mentality will have Reed giving up what he knows about the Ravens. Could cause big problems for Flacco.

Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
I'm not so sure Reed knows a lot about our current defensive makeup, considering the number of guys we changed out in the offseason and that he only had one year under Pees.
Offensive...maybe, but is it really all that hard to read into our offensive makeup when we can't run the ball, our OL is pretty shambly, and Joe is struggling with his accuracy?.

Call me a Special Teams coach again. I dare you! I double dare you, MFer!

Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
Ed Reed, as great as he was for the Ravens, is now like a 1978 Buick that's out-of-gas.
Ozzie was wise not to sign him, but the Texans got bluffed into signing him for multi-million$.
We're not talking about the Rex Ryan/Ed Reed of 2008 for instance. We beat his Texans 30 - 9 back in September, so I'm not scared of facing him again on November 24th ... Bc

Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
Fun Fact:
In 2011 The Ravens played against recently released Derrick Mason while playing for the Jets in week 4 at home, two weeks later played against Derrick Mason while playing for the Texans in week 6 at home...
Oh, Yes we beat Mason and his new team both times!

Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
Ugh. Not thrilled at this, since I've never liked the Jets. I guess the attraction for Ed was reuniting both with Rex and his old secondary mate Dawan Landry. In any case, he's already made his money. So it seems we'll see Ed once again next week, a la Derrick Mason....
