Bill Cowher is going to retire just like Nick Saban. Don't you love people who don't honor their contracts?

He'll retire for a year and then end up being the Panthers' new coach.
Pffffff! I trust wikipedia more than the NFL. If anyone would know football, it is clearly wikipedia.

Those 2 situations aren't remotely similar.

i know this has nothing to do with with bill "darth sideous" cowher's "retirement" but it also looks like art shell is going to be out as raiders coach as well according to the nfl network. too bad, watching shell stare blankly from the sidelines was foolproof comedy. i'll never forget the game with the ravens earlier this season when his qb is getting buried by an avalanche of ravens defenders for a safety, shell stood on the sidelines taking notes. all i wanted to know was: what on earth was he writing?!? "we suck", "need offensive line", "bite size shredded wheat, mac & cheese, soda", i'm dying to know!

What if the Raiders can't get anyone to coach for 2007.

I mean, last year they couldn't get anyone and went with Shell as a last ditch effort.

Now, after what we've all seen, the situation is worse.

I can see the headline now.

"Raiders fail to land Head Coach: Al Davis takes over".

Of all teams, it could happen there.

Wasn't Davis the HC of the old Raiders of the AFL or is my dementia kicking in?
