Pass Rush Will Remain UGLY
as long as we continue to be so totally static.
There is NO movement or scheming on the front four. No stunts. everybody just standing around waiting for the snap. The safeties were closer to the line playing the run, but practically no blitzes on a QB that could be rattled if we did it at lest once every series in passing situations.
our defense under rex and pagano was jumping around and making people wonder where the pressure would come from . . . .
alll we showed was 4 guys to be blocked by 5 or 6 . . . . pitiful

This has been my complaint about both our offense and defense. Everything is very predictable.

Re: Pass Rush Will Remain UGLY
They blitzed alot on 3rd down yesterday and it was fairly effective for most of the game. Brownies were only 5-16 on 3rd down which is will get the job done most of the time. Problem in 1st half was stopping Richardson and 1 deep pass to Gordon, and the Problem in the 2nd half was field position.
Even though no sacks, they were forcing Weeden into bad throws. Granted, if it's almost any other QB in the NFL, it might have been a problem yesterday.

When the defense gets healthy and the players get that unity thing going, Ravens will look better then they have. Give it time, if the wins keep coming, they will respond accordingly.

Why is it a joke? In the instances were he has blitzed this season so far, they have not gotten to the QB. Your playing a rookie QB, why would you increase the odds that he can hit on a big play cause you have less men in coverage and your blitz is not getting to the QB? I thought it was a smart move personally. He made Weeden earn a TD if they were gonna get one and it worked out in our favor
