Since when is 241 lbs "undersized" for a LB?

It's not. Some folks just have preconceived notions in their heads and that is that.

I don't anticipate Brown playing the Mike position. I expect him to be protected a little bit in that regard. i am sure that he will end up close 250 in a year or so. This year I expect him to be used mostly in coverage early on.

6"0 241 is most definitely undersized. Arthur Brown could've been the first ILB taken in the draft, and i'm talking mid first round, had he been bigger, this was basically the only negative on him. The undersized guys i mentioned who had injury issues and even the ones you guys mentioned who didn't were at least 6'1. He was my favorite player in this draft, im excited we got him, BUT literally the first news i hear on the guy is an injury when that was really our only concern. Not a good sign.

Good points, but I don't think Smith's injuries were that serious, and for whatever reason we weren't about to let him play over Williams anyway. But if you go back to the size issue, Lardarius Webb, all seasons other than his rookie season i can remember him having an issue with some type of injury, 2 of which were very serious. Great player, but i'm not convinced he will be playing healthy most of his career, i just don't believe he is durable. Depth at CB will be important for us, had we not won the SB (and driven the cost of our players up) i think we would've kept Williams and Smith behind him.

    He's 6'1".

Patrick Willis is essentially the same weight and 1" taller.

How's that working out for him?

    Less than 240lbs.

    Clearly, he was too small.

It didn't happen because he put on weight in the NFL. He said he was the lightest he has ever been last year, which was 240 and he missed a lot of games.

And lastly Brown is NOT 6"1 he is 6"0

ooo huge difference that 1 inch is going to make for an inside linebacker, because that really matters when you go to shed a block or make a tackle, that one inch extra is going to make you so much better.
