Re: Ed Reed to Houston
There is also the possibility, given his physical problems, he wanted to find a team that would allow him to JUST play centerfield and not come up and make those tackles.
Houston and the Niners fit that bill.
The other 10 players will be responsible for stopping the run and Ed will upgrade their secondary against the pass.
Houston is great against the run and gets after the quarterback. The ball will come out earlier and that will be playing into Ed's best remaining physical abilities.

Re: Ed Reed to Houston
I think this is great.
We couldn't sign him, so he goes to a contender eats up valuable cap space and may not play.
Thanks Ed!

Re: Ed Reed to Houston
Yeah, maybe he is "still playing for the Ravens" by signing with Houston. Lol. Sign with an AFC contender, that then ditches their reasonable NFL starter at your position, and then never play, weakening them in the process of earning a paycheck for yourself.
Bravo, thanks ED

Re: Ed Reed to Houston
Ed is winding down his career and is enjoying his last moments. The prognosis on a 34 year old football player with multiple injuries not good. I'll root for Ed until he's done, a great Raven destined for the HOF. Past the drama that always came with him, he always showed up and played hard. He'll do this to the best of his abilities this year too, but at some point he won't be able to answer then bell. It's life, we get old.
A doctor discusses his hip labrum surgery:

As bad as this sounds, I'm more concerned with his neck as far as his long term health.

Re: Ed Reed to Houston
Ed Reed has been taken off the PUP list. And according to Kubiak, there is a possibility that he could play week 1.

Re: Ed Reed to Houston
Why does this thread keep getting bumped?
It's totally ok, and favored, if y'all simply start something new about Ed once the thread dies down. Not to mention the title doesn't even make sense at this point.
