Because they're different sports with different traditions. Why does this make you so angry?
Also, outside of this offseason, I've managed to get that close to dozens of Ravens at training camp. And speak to them and shake their hands. My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

Re: Wheres security protecting Tiger Woods?
But theres security telling you to back off a bit.You might remember the 50s and early 60s you could walk up to a colts player in person and there was no security back then.

I still don't get your point.
We live in security conscious times. You think if that golf guy had hassled Tiger in any way nothing would happen?
You want to spend quality time with any high profile figure these days, you gotta deal with security.
(Although I sat next to Mike Phelps at the O's game Wednesday. Nice kid. Very friendly.)My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

It always amazes me that anyone can swing freely when hitting a ball through such a narrow opening of people. I don't care how good you are, everyone hits the occasionally shank.

Yep... He has seats down in section 22 behind first base. My roommate's cousin has the four seats in front of Phelps and on Wednesday they invited me along.
Rick Dempsey even popped in for a couple of minutes just to chat.My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron
