Re: The Castle has a new name
Kind of a strange thing to want to sponsor but hey if they want to pay then the Ravens would be stupid to turn them down.

Re: The Castle has a new name
So far as I know, the only other team with their practice center named for a corporation is the Giants and their Timex Performance Center. Timex gets alot out of their ad dollar for that building, though. It gets mentioned during the local pre- and post-game shows, which I'm sure the UA Performance Center will be, as well.
However, the Timex center is right across the parking lot from Metlife stadium and is visible from NJ3 and the Turnpike (western spur). The UA center is tucked back in the Ravens' complex, whose security seems to rival that of Calvert Cliffs. Won't be as "visible" as the Giants' one on an everyday basis.
On Ravens gamedays, I'm sure UA will have a more significant ad presence the same way that Timex does on Giants gamedays.
I wouldn't mind M&T one day carrying the name UA Stadium. I need to get my Ravens checking card before then, though. A discount on UA gear inside the stadium would be good, but you can just go down Curtis Bay to their outlet store and get that.---

Re: The Castle has a new name
I'm sure everyone noticed at the presser all the UA logo in between the
Ravens logo.
Millions are seeing it already. It will be everywhere Ravens stuff is.
A coup for the Under Armor guy.
The Terps were the first to use UA as a
sponsor since he went there and got the idea for the products while playing
there. UA is all over the place now.

Re: The Castle has a new name
Personally I find the UA products to be of real high quality. I have a wardrobe full of it for my rugby and football seasons. Never been high on nike or addidas (by far the two biggest sporting products here in Europe).

LOL - UA going under? Not according to this. Plank is worth $1.05B and
UAs stock is worth about $750M. Plank and the company have been written
up by Forbes as one of the best.
Here's a history of how he invented UA and note where the phrase "we must
protect this house" comes from. Good old U of M where he played and note
his teammate that said it.
I thought Ray Lewis said it.

Re: The Castle has a new name
agreed.
I wear UA Cold Gear when I go snowboarding and it's great. It lasts a long time too. I've had 2 UA long sleeve cold gear turtle necks and I've had them for at least 4 seasons of snowboarding. When you consider the durability of the product, paying $40+ for a shirt doesn't seem like such a bad deal.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: The Castle has a new name
Yup.
The Navy & Marine Corp has contracts with UA now for PT gear. Navy just caught on with some of their stuff and before they had New Balance, which was garbage material. Marines have been using UA stuff for a while now. I remember seeing them running PT in olive green UA gear down in Pensacola back in 06/07.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

It's still tough sometimes getting a good selection of UA gear here.
Walk into any Dicks or Academy Sports in Texas and it's all about Nike and Adidas still.
Reminds me that they are still the new kids in the sports apparel game.
