Re: Set your DVRs! Ravens vs. Pats 2007 tomorrow night

As frustrating as it was, I think it helped the Patriots lose to the Giants in the SuperBowl. It put even more pressure on them in the biggest game of the year, which wouldn't have been the same had we won that wacky game. Still wish we would have pulled out, of course, but looking at the big picture; it's sweet that the pats blew it! Kind of like losing to the Steelers and Skins as much as we hate losing (not to mention those big rivalries) the big picture was a SuperBowl victory! I'll take it.

I won about 5k on that game, Ravens were a 20 point underdog at home and it was windy as hell that night. Easy $$

Interesting perspective. Probably true in some way.

The Pats had the weight of the world on them that entire season, and at the last moment, it crushed them. Can't say I didn't enjoy seeing it. One of the few distant silver linings of our loss.

I don't think David Tyree making a one handed catch against his helmet or Plax scoring the game winning TD is indicative of the "weight of the world" crushing them.

They ran into an incredibly lucky Giants team.

Man Boller made some great throws in this game.

After the wind affected INT which wouldn't have happened if the D hadn't imploded. The memory still haunts me, we had that game

The money line was 10-1 for the Ravens that game, and the over/under was 51. That last PI called cost me another $2500. The Ravens where the biggest underdog ever on MNF for that game. I think only 4 Ravens remained on that team this year from that team. Reed, Lewis, Suggs and Ngata I beleive. Shows you how much turnover happens in the NFL in 5 years.
