RT @Aaron_Nagler: RT @lookin2carve: Per 610 KCSP the player involved is Jovan Belcher, peace to his family.

    KCSP is KC's local station.

All I can say is "Why?"

Why do people feel the need to do this?

Even at it's worst, life is still the greatest gift in the world. I guess I'll never understand.

I hope those in KC can find some way to cope with this.

First 'big news' to confirm it. Rumours are it was either in front of the players or in the parking lot in front of police and a couple of coaches and possibly Pioli. Very hard to get a picture yet.

According to the Chiefs forum's thread on it, Belcher had recently become a father as well. No words.
Twitterverse is saying Pioli and Crennel witnessed it. The whole team has to be devastated. I know teams have dealt with death before during the season but has it ever happened the day before a game?

My 1st thought (besides sadness) was "Is this a Rae Carruthers type situation?" Don't know how the Chiefs could play Carolina @ Arrowhead tomorrow and show up emotionally/mentally.

    *smh* ...what can you do?

Besides the obvious, I feel badly for Romeo. A classy and incredibly nice man. This is going to hit him especially hard.

The league has told the Panthers to travel to KC as planned for the game tomorrow.

Or it could be an emotionally charged game where they play their hearts out for the guy.

Very sad day that puts things in perspective. After feeling incredibly sad for Belcher's family and teammates and of course his child, I can't help but wonder if this too has to do with head trauma. Just a sad day.

The guy? They will play their hearts out for a murderer?
