In any case, I agree with you, which is why I wouldn't expect my son to have that kind of reaction if Ravens made a similar move. If a guy moves on, we can still like him, but we root for our team. I think it can be both ways though. I imagine this kid will root for Steve Smith with the Ravens...except when they play the Panthers.

my parents havetons of footage of my siblings and i throwing temper tantrums and crying over nothing...im sure if they would've had the ability to post the stuff online and share with family and friends in the 80's they would have....whats the big deal?

i can recall some home footage of my dad videoing while continuously knocking over my dominos while i was trying to set up domino rally...and me crying and yelling like a girl over it although i only had like 10 dominos set up each time...

i suppose in this day and age people would want my dad arrested for child endangerment and bullying

They are interviewing him on ESPN Radio and he got pulled over while on the radio and said and i quote "I got pulled over cuz you know a guy that looks like me driving the car that I have." lol No filter but funny as hell.

Pretty interesting...I wonder where he was driving that it happened? Said he didn't get in trouble for being on the cell phone, so my guess is not MD.

That was a good interview that talked a good bit about his past vs where he is now. I think that should turn some opinions about him around.

It did turn my opinion on him. I've always respected his ability as a player, but the stories about the fights with his teammates and opponents kind of soured me on him. I wasn't 100% anti Ravens signing him, but I didn't really want them to.

He definitely comes across as a much more subdued and intelligent individual in that interview. He makes a good point in it that people only see 2 hours of him on Sundays, maybe 20 minutes of interviews a month and that's not enough to judge a person. And he's absolutely right.

Put me in the camp that Gavin's dad is a douche. It's one thing sharing embarassing videos or pictures with the family. But that's not what he did. He set it up so he could record it, knowing that the news was going to crush his son, and he did it with the intent of sharing it with the entire world. And while I don't know for sure, I would guess he also probably did it with the expectation to "profit" from it with some Smith/Ravens swag and a meeting. Douche move.

Yeah it was a pretty good interview. By the way he also talks about his wife of 14 years, his son in high school and daughter in 7th grade. I thought I read earlier in this thread that they were expecting their first child but maybe that was a confusion with Torrey.
