Re: Lot J
Who is shoving anything down your throat? Slots and the lottery are there. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to play. If you're morally against it, don't take part. You are the one who wants them banned because you are opposed to them. Maybe people should be free to make their own decisions?

Re: Lot J
I don't play the lottery or the number of different things it has. I work hard for my money too. Your the one that came out and sad "gambling is bad and evil money". Is gambling bad? Is it evil? That's "your" truth...not mine. You opened the can pal...what else do you expect?

Welcome to the new USSR, the United States Socialist Republics & our top comrade Obama!!!
Did you really expect less from Owe'Malley, Busch, Miller & Felon Dixon? If you love Maryland & what they have done on the state level wait until January when it's rolled out over the whole USA thanks to Tuesday!!

For the past 8 years we've been hearing how slots were going to be the downfall of Maryland and it's people. Little old ladies were going to blow their social securities on slots. People would be drawn into the world of gambling and jeopardize their family. Poor Ocean City wouldn't be the family-friendly resort that it is now. (Yeah, right). The thing is, this was the exact same argument that was around 15 years ago when they were trying to get Keno in Maryland and none of those fears have come to be. I'm not going to get into the morality of gambling, but slots won't be the deciding factor. You can gamble right now without leaving the privacy of your own home. Here on the Eastern Shore, I've seen our neighbors to the west of us in Delaware benefit from the money that goes there. I've never played the slots in my life but I'd like to know that if I get an itch to do so, every penny I drop in there will go to my kid's education and not somebody in Delaware, New Jersey or even worse West Virginia or Pennsylvania.
