Anyone faulting the defense isn't paying attention. We have no choice but to play for the field goal/wait for their mistakes given the CB situation with Jackson/smith out. Playing franks and whoever else up close on the receivers is 7 waiting to happen. Have to allow 3 and score TDs on offense. No other option.

Jacoby Jones with another stellar return.

    He looks afraid of contact.

Why does JJ keep bringing it out?

    Blech.

Greg Little seems to be one of those fringe players that always seems to do well against us.

He's just trying to give us a spark, which I appreciate, but he's just not producing. It's as much on him as it is our ST failing to open lanes for him.

Or more accurately you wait until you see that the player definitely or very likely is going to clear the pick (can be judged earlier if you can process what you are seeing fast enough).

Of course I am discussing the difference between very good QBs and decent QBs, not decent and bad. It was a difficult play from Joe's perspective, but even more difficult from Torrey's, so blaming it on Torrey to defend Joe doesn't fly in this case (does in other cases in the past, obviously).
QBs only get 2 seconds to throw so there's not much time to wait to see anything. Chris Redman was asked that
question when he was here and he said yea, the QB throws to an area. That's why sometimes you see the ball
going one way and the receiver going the other.

The receiver either got the route wrong or the QB threw to the wrong spot.

In Torrey's case he pulled up lame and never got anywhere near the spot. Joe couldn't possibly see that Torrey
was lame til it was too late. He threw to where Torrey was supposed to be.

If I were Harbs I'd tell Rosburg that this shit is going to cost him his job after this season.

I think that the thinking is that he still has a flash of speed in him and that a breakout return will set us up nicely and get him going. When the offense is sputtering, I don't think it is a bad idea as long as he gets back to the 15 and doesn't fumble. I still think he has that flash.
