House passes bill against Food Stamps
Bill would cut $40 billion from food stamps.

Federal.

I doubt it gets anywhere in the Senate though.
I read somewhere, I'll see if I can find it, that this was something that they were going to hold strong on until the Dems agree to re-work Obamacare.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Yeah. This isn't going anywhere.
And $4B a year is laughable.

Re: House passes bill against Food Stamps
Oh, I certainly agree.
Frankly, I think the entire welfare system is in need of a major overhaul.
The problem is the left won't do it because that will eat into their "votes" and the right doesn't take it seriously because if they do anything about it they are viewed as racists who only look out for the wealthy.
Kind of a lose-lose situation.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: House passes bill against Food Stamps
I think instead of just giving people money for who knows how long, that money should be used to train people and give them a skill. You know...teach a man to fish instead of just giving him a fish over and over. There are e lots of skilled jobs out here where you don't necessarily need a degree, but can get with training certificates and will pay a livable wage. I know the state has a program like this, but the funding is erratic while they are still paying welfare out to people who are perfectly content to live on it.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDAlthough Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
