Re: Birk Retiring
I don't know if this turns into the appreciation thread but I'll put it here anyway. Thanks Matt. Represented well on and off the field. Besides that it can only help towards facilitating Joe's deal.

Re: Birk Retiring
I wonder if Birk would have any interest in coaching?
I'd love for them to part with Andy Moeller and have Birk be Juan Castillo's assistant.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Birk Retiring
class act and I will always be grateful for his contributions here. Remember when he played the whole year with a gash on the bridge of his nose that opened up every game? Tough, smart guy and I wish him the best in retirement.
This is just the first move for a team that will look a lot different next year

Re: Birk Retiring
Class act, great player for us. I was amazed at how well he played this year, since last year it pretty much looked like he was close to done. Really was a driving force on this Super Bowl team, and deserves a lot of credit for that. Sad to see him go, but I recall him saying he hardly ever got hurt, didn't even tape before games, etc., so perhaps a wise move to go out on top, and healthy.

Re: Birk Retiring
Thanks Matt!!! What a great career, and I am so happy you got your ring here in Baltimore!
Enjoy the time with your family!

Seems like Birk could be a good coach one day. I wonder if he'll go down that road.
