Thread: Ochocinco?

    Re: Ochocinco?

    No interest...
Everybody's talkin' at me; I don't hear a word they're saying; Only the echoes of my mind

I'm going where the sun keeps shining; Thru' the pouring rain; Going where the weather suits my clothes

Banking off of the North East winds; Sailing on a summer breeze; And skipping over the ocean like a stone

Yes, that's right, throughout all of last year and part of this year a 34 year old veteran who's been in the league 10+ years can't learn a playbook.

Physically, he can probably still play in the league. But if he can't learn a playbook, something is desperately wrong with either his motivation or his intellect. My money is on both when it comes to Chad. I don't see him catching on anywhere, but if he does, it will have to be a team which runs an offense very close to Cincinnati's.

Bob Bratkowski was the OC in Cincinnati during Ochocinco's good years. He's the OC in Jacksonville now. That might be the only place he could catch on.
Yeah and there has also been speculation that he had that problem in Cinci as well. I think Bengals.com ran a snipet about how TJ had to tell him where to line up.

If he'd lay off the self promotion and apply himself to film study I gotta believe it would make a big difference

Looks like the Dolphins are taking the plunge and have signed Chad Johnson to a 1 year deal.

And they're giving him #85. Bets on whether he can learn the playbook?

Dolphins have nothing to lose with the signing. It's not like they have anyone much better.

I'm sure they got him for beans, so if he can't figure out the offense then they can just cut him.

Would you want that obnoxious guy working with your rookie QB? That's why the Bengals got rid of him. The Dolphins are going to have a ton of problems this season. Adding another headache was not smart. My guess is they wanted to spice things up a little for Hard Knocks so they decided to bring in a player who loves to ham it up on camera.
