Re: Free Agent & Other Player Moves from Around the NFL
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Re: Free Agent & Other Player Moves from Around the NFL
Seriously.
Problem is, what were the Falcons going to do? Ryan has had them dead to rights since his rookie year and he knows it. Though I don't think Ryan is a big game QB, he does indeed give the Falcons their best shot at winning. He is pretty damn good, durable, and entering his prime.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Ryan is very good for that team and they are better than they've been in years. They had to do it. With a run game and better defense who knows. They may win another playoff game :)

Ryan earned it, no way they were going to let him walk. How many quarterbacks didn't get their first Super Bowl in the first 5 years? All of them should have a disclaimer like a stock prospectus: Past success is not an indication of future success. That never stopped anyone from buying anyway.

Re: Free Agent & Other Player Moves from Around the NFL
On the subject of the Cards, I really like the offseason they've had. They've upgraded at RB and QB, got some actual adults on the OL instead of what appeared to be some 17 year olds who wandered onto the field and the defense has got even more stacked. And they no longer have Ryan goddamn Lindley under center!
