I remember when he was cheered because he was hurt in a game at M&T. He never said a bad word or never made any foul statements towards fans or the Ravens when he walked away.
He was not a great QB but the dude could hurl the football through goal posts from his knees.

It is a shame he never turned into anything. He gave his all, took a massive beating, and had heart. Unfortunately none of which turned into results on the field. I wish him well.

Did he play against the Seahawks during that comeback game in 2003? Or was that Anthony Wright?

Re: Kyle Boller Retires (Merged)
That was Anthony Wright who became the full time starter after Kyle got injured earlier in the year against the Rams.

He had a couple really good games I think in 07 against the Vikings and Packers. They were just so few and far between.

Re: Kyle Boller Retires (Merged)
I think that was 2005. He came on strong at the end of the 2005 season but of course that offseason, the Ravens went out and traded for Steve McNair.
It's hard to say whose fault it is for the way Boller turned out. His mental makeup and talent are probably as much to blame as the Ravens failure to provide him with weapons and protection.

I wish Kyle well. I still rock my #7 Boller jersey.

Re: Kyle Boller Retires (Merged)
Kyle had three really good games. Jets '04, Vikes '05 and Packers '05. Actually, Pats '07 was a pretty good one too, until that terrible late INT that changed the momentum a bit.
Unfortunately that was about it.
Still, I backed him hard and always wanted him to do well when he was here, mainly because he tried his arse off and because he was our starting QB, whether I liked it or not. Unfortunately he was a decent athlete but did not have the mental acuity to be a starting NFL quarterback.
Still, he provided HOURS of debate - not least with WestSideOzzie on the old board. RIP Dawson Creek.

He lasted a lot longer in this league than many of us thought he would.
