It's just lip service. They said the same thing about Trevor Pryce. Heap makes perfect sense for Arizona, and McGahee to Denver.

How does that negate getting Sidney Rice? Or anyone else for that matter?

Mason is 37 years old and disappeared in the Pittsburgh game. The guy has been great for us, but don't think for a second that just because they're saying that they want to re-sign him means that they're not going to go out there and see if they can land a Sidney Rice or someone of the like.

There are rumors all over the place stating that Heap is headed to the Cardinals for sure.

Gregg could come back, but why? To ride the pine? Because that's likely what he'd be doing. We're loaded at the DT position.

Heap was the only one that I think they intended on legitimately trying to bring back and he's pretty much got his apartment packed up at this point. He's coming off a great year and a healthy one for the most part. No way he'd take a significant pay cut to come back.
