Well, after reading that bio, if he doesn't make the Ravens he could always play in the band.

Really hope he gets picked up by the Ravens. Whoever gets him is not going to regret it, even if it's just to push other guys in training camp with his motor and work ethic.

Emmett Cleary and Marcus Davis too.

"Steelman said the Ravens are bringing him in as a slot receiver, with his backup position as safety. Despite playing quarterback in college, he said he’s coming in with an “open mind.” "

He would be someone to check out too. Same with Kenny Tate.

Tate's knee is done. Such a shame. He really looked bad trying to play this year. His instincts were still there but he couldn't get himself into positions because of his damaged mobility. Sad story too.

When I was in high school he played for rival DeMatha; he was the best athlete I've seen in high school bar none. Dominant basketball player in his junior year (until he stopped playing to focus on football) and a 6'4'' receiver who ran a 4.45 in high school? Dude was ridiculous.

Then he kept it up at Maryland, creating a role for himself as a 6'4'' SS who could run like a free safety. He looked like a sure-fire first rounder till he blew out his knee playing pick up basketball.

Yeah. I guess it's because he plays in the middle but is only, what, 280? Still, anyone who records 20 tackles in an ACC game from the NT spot, you have to at least take a look at him.

I think in the right situation he could be Kelly Gregg. But there are much smarter people out there who haven't signed him so what do I know?

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
