Re: Improving the experience at M&T Bank Stadium
We're on the BARCS side of Ostend and dreading the traffic nightmare between the Casino and BPD.. never is the same pattern (or ANY pattern), then have to dodge the officers leaving before waiting- as directed- for why ever we have to wait; a consistent plan would be nice, otherwise I'll have to take Monday and Tuesday off 'cause I'll still be in the lot!

Re: Improving the experience at M&T Bank Stadium
I agree, when I suggested it last year on the Baltimoreravens.com message board, I was called "lazy" and those fans said "if you can't hack the steps then don't buy the tickets" BS. I suggest just one set of escalators, and those fitness freaks can go climb the stops and ramps and everyone is happy. If they can have them to the club level then why not the top, I would give up purple lighting for them. I would like Wi Fi, Nationals Park has it, but the Ravens are in bed with Verizon and they hate the competition.

Re: Improving the experience at M&T Bank Stadium
When Ravens stadium opened I climbed the steps all the up to the last row of the house many times and went to every home game from the very first one til about 3 years ago. We partied on H lot for years with the Nests, Poes Crows and the old RN2 board with Greg, T, and Fanatic and of course his wife's famous and delicious crab dip along with the gorgeous Sykesville Chick of Nest 14.
I moved slow but made it up but there are fans that have issues like with artificial knees and hips. Never had mine replaced but lung probs took me out of the stadium altogether. Haven't been down in a couple of years. Like Tony mentioned, I have a 60'' wide screen and Bose surround and surround and don't miss a play.
I sat in the club level last 5 years because the cold got to me. Thats strictly for p*ssies but it was fun when the cheer leaders came thru an hour before each game and they had some real good crab cakes but I paid my dues collecting splinters on Memorial Stadium's cold hard seats and all the way up top and out in the center field bleachers in cold weather when I was young.
Memorial Stadium put escalators in back and the 60s and they crashed. A young girl died and several kids got hurt. The irony was it was national safety patrol day with all the safeties from all the elementry schols there and they were the ones that got hurt. So much for safety.
I was in hi school but said to my brother, we're walking up. Shortly afterward I saw the calamaty called home knowing it was on the news and let my parents know we were OK and there were no cells back then, just a plain old phone booth and a nickel to call. My dad laughed when I said, hell, we're walking up, not taking elevators.
Here's the link to the story. It was in 64. LInk also has story about guy who tried to land his plane on the football field but ended up in the stands not long after a playoff game with Squeelers.
That stadium has some memories.

Re: Improving the experience at M&T Bank Stadium
Or you could just ask me. Going into my 18th year. Surprisingly, I haven't seen much on here really bashing the band - it usually comes up on one message board or another, but I haven't seen a real "bash the band" thread since about 6 months after the ESPN documentary. Perhaps people got the message? There's also been changes to the music admin staff over the last few years, and we keep cycling out music and trying to incorporate as much recent music as possible.
Anyone who sits down in sections 109, the back half of 111, and 112, you know how we are during games. The NFL had to write rules almost 15 years ago because of the impact we were having on games. They recently started backing off of those rules and we're being allowed to do more in the stands than we have the last 10 years.
For example, when they initiated the rule change, the home team could not have"artificial" noise while the visiting team was on offense. The more recent rule is that you can't have artificial noise once they set on the line.
It's an interesting view of an NFL game day. You see a lot more of what goes on to actually make the show that the Ravens put on work.
And we're recruiting! http://www.baltimoreravens.com/raven...auditions.html, audition date is July 30th. Seriously, it is awesome to watch football and get paid for it. I'd do it for free, but they decided to start paying us last year. Who am I to argue?
What do I have to do to push this along?
