Lost in the aftermath of the victory over the Texans and the hopes and expectations of the game on Sunday in Foxboro is that the 20-13 win was the Ravens' 10th ever playoff victory. A good milestone.

That's not bad for a franchise that is only fifteen years old or so, particularly when those ten have come in just over a ten year period.

To further put that into perspective, the Ravens have more playoff victories than teams like the Chiefs, Cardinals, Lions, Seahawks and Saints etc. In fact, considering expansion history, the 'youngest' franchise that supercedes the Ravens' victories in the playoffs are the Miami Dolphins who were created in 1966.

The victory moved them on the same level as the Chargers and a victory on Sunday will match all the NFL playoff victories that the Cleveland Browns ever got. And that's gotta hurt (though, that's not including AAFC victories). A Superbowl victory moves them to the same amount of victories as the New York Jets (and most importantly, more Superbowls than any of those three and more). A Superbowl title would also give the Ravens' the best playoff victory percentage in the league. Not bad, eh?

While the titles are the main focus and quite rightly, just a little note to show and appreciate that even in a short space of time, the Ravens are racking up some serious numbers.

We're spoiled and often lose sight of how good we've really been throughout our history but I think deep down inside we all appreciate having such a good franchise. What would really seal the deal though around here would be winning the Super Bowl this year. Most people feel like we should have won another Super Bowl over the last ten years with the defense that we've had. A Lombardi this year would tie a lot of things together and make us viewed as the elite franchise that we really are.

Philly have 19 wins and 19 losses. If the Ravens keep up their current great track record, we'll catch up with them soon enough. (depending of course how the Eagles do)

I like that you can sort by all the different measurements of team success. For instance, at .549, the Ravens currently rank 6th among all team in winning percentage.

Yes, for this being only their 16th season, their level of success if almost unparalleled. Only the Dolphins and Cowboys compare with their success.

Which is even more impressive when you consider that they were 16-31-1 in those first three (ugly) years!

Technically, they are 10-6 in postseason games (Super Bowl doesn't count as a 'playoff' game or road game). Of course, that's nitpicking.

Under Billick: 5-3 (started off 5-0)

Under Harbaugh: 5-3 (a win in all four of his seasons AND he inherited a 5-11 team)

The Ravens are deadly in the playoffs, especially on the road. Non-homer fans of other teams will tell you they usually dread the Ravens the most.

The Baltimore Colts also had ten playoff wins, from 1958 through 1971 seasons (counting the two Playoff Bowl appearances).
