Re: NFL To Ban Below The Waist Blocks?
they should look at cut blocks and chop blocks but King saying 'all blocks below the wait' is a bit much IMO. Time will tell

Re: NFL To Ban Below The Waist Blocks?
Well, if this goes through, it would end the use of the zone blocking scheme in the NFL. Numerous team would have to completely redesign their offenses to compensate, including the Ravens. It would be HUGELY significant in terms of competitive balance... and I'm not a fan of that.
I don't understand this at all. It sounds like a terrible, terrible idea to me.

Re: NFL To Ban Below The Waist Blocks?
Call me cynical, but I just cant see the NFL making any major rules change that would give a major advantage to defenses.

I'm not sure if I'd be able to watch football if this happens. :grbac:

This story has as much validity to it as the claims (by PFT I might add) a few years ago that the NFL was "considering" eliminating kick offs.
It's a non story. My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

Might as well switch to 7 on 7 and have the pass rushers count to 4 Mississippi...
