They DO have the first down markers chipped! And they are SPECIFICALLY not allowed to use the information displayed by those chips!

Those chips are what creates the yellow line. The line is draw electronically between the sticks on each side based on where the camera picks up those chips. It's pretty fool proof if the sticks are in the right spot on the sidelines. But the refs aren't allowed to use that information!

Again logic and the NFL just do not meet...

Our offense sucks tonight. For starters, Rice had an easy first down on the 2nd down run if he keeps motoring on a straight line towards the sideline vs. inexplicably stopping and getting decked. Then we try some low percentage BS down the field on 3rd and 2. Complete nonsense. Honestly, what the hell is going on with our O?

Flacco has to at least give the receivers a chance to make a play. He's not even giving them a freakin' chance of catching the ball with all these throws 75 feet over their heads.

I totally give props to the Steelers defense as they are very good but there are plays out there to be made, Flacco is just playing terrible. Missing guys left and right, throwing into double coverage, just awful which unfortunately has been par for the course on the road this year.
