It is not that they are scoring too much it is the timing of the play. One save that for a game where it is tight and we really need the points. Now teams from here on out are going to be on alert. 2nd you are about to go up by 37 points with a chip shot field goal so need to rub it in. It is going to piss of Oakland and could cause them to cheap shot later in the game.

We wouldn't have done it if the Raiders hadn't trash-talked and cheap-shotted us the whole drive. Not the classiest thing for us to do, but it's football, there's a whole quarter left, and if you dish it you have to take it ...

The defense has to be right for it. The Ravens have done this trickery with Koch since Harbaugh has been here. The good teams plan for it. Thats why you dont see it against teams like the Steelers. The Raiders should know better.

I just don't see the point in using that play in this context. That's something you use when you're struggling in the RZ and need to manufacture a play. When you're up by over twenty just kick the FG.
