Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
They're still saying no power for 7 to 10 days. That's next Monday to next Thursday. What really sucks is almost everyone I work with who lives in NY got theirs back within 24 hours. At least all the trees missed the house and cars. So, yes it could have been a lot worse.

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
Thanks, man.
Power is back up and the tree two doors up is completely up. Haven't
had time to go around to check the other houses.
I went to bed as soon as I got home and slept all day after being awake for 24 hours straight. I went to the Indy PO game with Mista T and we're on the plane half way there and I said oh shit. I forgot my
BI-PAP T. He said shit, how are you going to sleep. I said I'm not sleeping because I might not wake up. So I didn't sleep for the entire weekend until MOn night when I got home.
Anyway, our power came on sometime during the night. The food
was cold in the fridge and the food in the freezer was frozen. I out-smarted myself before the storm. Had plenty of food stocked up but
couldn't cook it so I ate out but most restaurants were closed Mon.
McDonalds was opened 48 hrs straight. They never close-lol.
Looks like the state dodged a bullet overall but not in Harford
and Cecil Counties.
I like to tell people Im self sufficient-lol. I sure didn't feel that
way MOnday night. I was freaking out, man.Last edited by AirFlacco; 10-31-2012 at 10:06 PM.

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
Hate to ask a stupid question but does anyone
know how to download pics from a cell phone
to a PC?
I have pics of all those houses posted above.
Tony would love them for his site but the
cell doesn't have a USB port so I don't
think I can down load them here or give
it to Tony in person to download.
If he wants the phone, he's more then welcome to have
it to down load the pics.
Anyone know how?
Thanks.

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
I am from North NJ, Hawthorne to be exact. We had many homes around the area taken out from large trees.
We are with out power until Monday and just heard the town might be cutting the water supply. Getting gas takes about 1.5-3 hours pending where you go.
I packed up my family yesterday and fled for Maryland. Home with my parents here in Columbia. Got to watch the news for the first time last night and am crushed to see the amount of damage all around my area up there.
Its going to be a long road of repairs.

AF-
Former Computer Genius here!;)
Not sure how old your cell phone is, but my old one couldn't download pix I took with it, either. (why I ever wanted a phone that took pictures that I couldn't do anything with is beyond me!)
In any event, a couple questions/thoughts -
--Can you email stuff from your cell? If so, attach the picture(s) to an email message and mail them to Tony or yourself, then use your PC software to copy, share, etc.
--Do you have text messaging? You should be able to send a text message with an attachment to someone who DOES have a phone that can download it.
Maybe other posters have some better ideas, but you may want to try email or texting. Good luck!

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
Thanks Beau.
I do have texting so I'll give it a try with an attachment and see
what happens. I can still look at the pics even if I can't send them.
I see my girl friend's face every time I turn the phone on. After I
sang a girl asked to have my pic taken with her. She said, there,
every time I turn the phone on your face-lol. Hey, she
loves the way I sing Crazy Bitch-lol. When I told my doc about
some of the action I was getting he looked at me like I was full
of it, I showed him some pics from the phone and he said
holy sh*t.
Yea, we were lucky compared to the NE but like I said, there are
several houses in this development with damages from trees falling
on them and the vehicles too.
My prayers go out to everyone.Last edited by AirFlacco; 11-01-2012 at 09:06 AM.

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
got my juice back Tuesday about 1630 so I was out about 23 hrs. lots of water but no tree damage. will check out my lawn mower this weekend.
could have been much much worse!"Nothing stops these Baltimore Ravens. Beat them, injure them, shove them to the bottom of the standings, drag them into a hostile environment and mount a big lead, and they just keep trudging forward like nothing fazes them." (Bleacher Report)

Re: OT -- Storm Thread -- How's Everyone Doing?
I just drove around and all those houses I posted above are Ok
now. The trees were all off the homes by late yesterday. I just
went by the house with 2 trees on it and they were gone but the
house has a hole in the roof and is covered up waiting for a new
roof.
My neighbor 2 doors down is ok. His tree is gone after falling on
his house. He said damn, I loved that tree. Been there for
44 years. lol
Everything is back to normal around here except for the house
with a hole in it but the guy was smiling while talking to a reefer,
um, I mean roofer.
