Wildcard weekend isn't really playoff teams though. Imagine if the Ravens were good enough to get a first round bye. He'd have a lot less wins.

Are you forgetting the two consecutive wins against the leagues #1 defense in Pittsburgh?

You think that reason might be the absence of a Top 5 defense? Just wondering.

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read.

QBs always get credit for team wins.

    LOL.

After all the pontificating you've done about homers and not being able to criticize, your true colors shine through.

Flacco just doesn't look comfortable on the road. He struggles mightily on the road against good teams compared to how he plays at home. We can win on the road but it usually isn't bc of joe IMO.

Is that really fair though? I've always attributed the Ravens success over the past 4 seasons as a TEAM effort, not the result of one player, despite the attempts of many on this board to believe the opposite. Defense travels well, and Flacco has benefitted from a top 5 defense since he took over the reins in 2008. I don't think his play is all that much different from years past; it's just that the defense has slipped, resulting in losses, which causes his play to get scrutinized all the more.

    True.

O line currently structured is terrible.
    Interior D line is terrible.
Jimmy Smith is really a FS. He has stiff hips and struggles in man coverage.
Linebackers are below average as a unit. Poor tackling and poor in coverage.

Hard to gauge the coaching staff with the lack of talent in the trenches.

The rub is that he has been BAD in some of those wins.
