    The Steelers falling to 2-4 effectively ends their season. How many 2-4 teams go on to make the playoffs? Not many, if any.

    Under normal circumstances this is true, but this year I wouldn't rule it out. With only two teams abouve .500 in the AFC, a record of 2-4 doesn't kill anyone just yet. The thing going against them is that one of those teams above .500 is in their division.

    I for one would never root for the Steelers unless they were already out of the playoffs and we needed them to beat a team that is in front of us in standings. Even then I could not watch it. Good point about the draft pick though, although I think it would take them picking at the top 10 for them to fix their issues. Old players under contract and hurt and no cap space.

    We've already beaten Cinci, so we already have a good head start on them. And they've already dropped one to the Browns. Them getting this divisional win seems less harmful to me down the road than it does if the Steelers get it.

    Plus I thought the number one rule was never root for Pittsburgh?

    It may make more sense to root for the Bengals to lose but there's something in my DNA that won't let me root for the black and piss yellow Steelers.
