Re: Steelers Vs. Bengals: Who do you root for?

Luke makes a good point...."ouch"....my wife just pinched me; I guess no matter what, I will always root against the steelers. Remember this, I will always say it's not the team I can't stand, it's those loud mouth, overbearing, illogical things they call fans. - Gonz

I dont care about the teams records and Cinci being a bigger threat to us. I will still root for cinci to win this game. I will NEVER root for the steelers. I want Pitt to bu BURIED. Let them just keep losing and losing. I want them to be the Colts of last year

For me to live in Shitsburgh, a Sqeelers lost is so enjoyable in my everyday life. So Cincy i don't mind winning. We still play them week 17, and we are, I think, like 9-0 vs Afc north. Sqeelers please lose Sunday night, The Ravens should be 6-1 and enjoy a Sqeelers lost.

It would be a GREAT Monday Morning!

Except against the Bills in week 17 of the 2004 season.

    What she said.

The Steelers falling to 2-4 effectively ends their season. How many 2-4 teams go on to make the playoffs? Not many, if any.

    Go Bengals.

Under normal circumstances this is true, but this year I wouldn't rule it out. With only two teams abouve .500 in the AFC, a record of 2-4 doesn't kill anyone just yet. The thing going against them is that one of those teams above .500 is in their division.

Re: Steelers Vs. Bengals: Who do you root for?

Easy: You root for the Steelers to lose until they are eliminated, then you root for them to win so they get a middling draft pick.

I for one would never root for the Steelers unless they were already out of the playoffs and we needed them to beat a team that is in front of us in standings. Even then I could not watch it. Good point about the draft pick though, although I think it would take them picking at the top 10 for them to fix their issues. Old players under contract and hurt and no cap space.

Re: Steelers Vs. Bengals: Who do you root for?

We've already beaten Cinci, so we already have a good head start on them. And they've already dropped one to the Browns. Them getting this divisional win seems less harmful to me down the road than it does if the Steelers get it.

Plus I thought the number one rule was never root for Pittsburgh?

It may make more sense to root for the Bengals to lose but there's something in my DNA that won't let me root for the black and piss yellow Steelers.
