Josh Bynes and Adrian Hamilton top candidates for promotion.

Top candidates for promotion from practice squad would be Josh Bynes, Adrian Hamilton

I'm preying that Adrian Hamilton can make a difference to this defense.

Re: Josh Bynes and Adrian Hamilton top candidates for promotion.
I like it on both counts. Even if we don't have a true elite talent like Webb at the CB spot, we go 5 deep there and as long as Jimmy Smith is 100%, we are healthy. A depth chart of Smith, Williams, Graham, Brown, and Jackson is fine going forward. Depth at LB is much more important at this time.
I would like to see Hamilton get promoted and have a chance to compete at OLB, moving McClellan inside could also be a good move at least situationally. I think Bynes could be a ST contributor but I wasn't particularly impressed with his play at LB as some were.
Something I would NOT rule out is an addition to the defensive line. Haloti is banged up, McPhee may not be fully healthy, and we have been generally ineffective at each spot. Our LBs have looked bad because our DL has been absolutely pathetic, so IMO our greatest need is at NT/DT and 5-tech. I have not seen DeAngelo Tyson or Bryan Hall hit the field much at all, so rotating them in could be an option, but I wouldn't rule out the team making a personnel move to bring in somebody.

I liked what I saw in limited action from Bryan Hall, he's a quick first step.

Am I the only one who somehow misread this as "Amanda Bynes"?

I have zero clue how good Adrian Hamilton is, but we need a pass rusher in the worst way. He deserves a shot to prove himself.

Evidently first man up is going to be Minute Rice (Bobby Rainey) - Ravens just promoted him from PS. Evidently the Ravens appear to be subscribing to the theory that the best defense is a good offense.

There is one article speculating on the Ravens and Aqib Talib

Hard for me to believe the Ravens would do this.

I seriously doubt the Ravens would trade for Talib. One, he's had more than a few personal conduct issues. Two, I can't see the Ravens wasting a pick on a guy they'd have to end up giving a contract when they have Webb that just got a big contract and Jimmy Smith who is a former 1st rounder.
