Thread: We will go 8-8.

    Re: We will go 8-8.

We're not going 1-6 the rest of the way, we all know that. Still, the season now truly begins - the two easier games post-bye have been cashed in. The next seven games are pretty tough - that said, it's possible that it's a 10 game streak to a Lombardi if we win enough of them. Yes, many have written off the Ravens - people seem to think it's between the Broncos or Patriots for the bye with the Texans and the Steelers claiming the North. That may happen, sure. But, the Ravens currently are the dark horse across the league - the team that wins without fanfare.

Not a team left we can't beat or envision a victory against - no reason to say we can't go 7-0! All begins Sunday night.

I've come to the conclusion that people would complain no matter what the result is.

Go easy on this one, Ravor--remember the last 3 points were pretty much giftwrapped via an unforced error that gave them the ball on the Cleveland 33 & the offense could only get Tucker 4 yards closer. If the Brownies punt instead, the Ravens probably get the ball somewhere around their own 30 with 3:45 or so left & a 7 point lead & it's nail-bitin' time...

Been watching a lot of the Browns games, they are better than people think and their record. Always in the game til the final minutes. They play hard physical football on both sides of the ball. Browns are no gimmee. They just shoot themselves in the foot with 1 or 2 plays in the game.

That's fine, it wasn't really the point I was making though. We did what we were supposed to do against the Raiders - and didn't do against the Browns, I guess - and now some people are qualifying it because "well, it's just the Raiders".

I'm really not sure what else they were supposed to do?!?!? Would scoring 70 been enough?

Yes, the Raiders are bad - and we dispatched them handly, by setting a franchise record for points. IMO, mission accomplished, regardless of the quality of the opponent.
