    Would you rather gain 3 yards or lose 3 yards? In this situation it didn't matter because we were well within range either way but every yard counts in a tight game.

    Which means he may as well take the sack. Getting halfway to a first down is still a short field goal, but if Dickson mishandles the throw then there's a chance of a turnover.
