Ray Lewis retiring after this year?

I think most of us assume he will. But watching the Miami game (as much as I could stomach) I heard the announcer say that Ray 'let it slip' that he would be on the sidelines watching his son next year. I found the quote on Yardbarker but it's not a direct quote from Ray, it's 2nd hand from Florio.

At some point, he's going to stop saying one more year. It's not a guarantee he's going to go out with a Super Bowl win.

I believe this is his last year. I half expected him to retire at the end of last season.

He said he promised that if his son was playing ball at Miami, he would be the father on the sideline. His son starts next year.

If he does retire after this year, shouldn't that give us money to give Reed a contract?

It seems like Reed finally feels comfortable with his neck again and all of a sudden it doesn't seem like he's on his last legs anymore. He could have another 3-5 years if he doesn't get injured.

The interview after the Thurs night football game he emphatically stated that he will know when it is time ... 5 minutes in - Ray gives the answer!
