I didn't say that. I said we haven't been back to the SB with this line.

W/O looking it up I'm sure Ngata and Cody are bigger than Adams and Goose but they just keep missing the SB while Goose, Mc
Creary and Adams won it all.

    Just saying, ya know?

Re-read the post. I didn't say that. I said we haven't been back
to the SB with this line. You missed the point when you were
    laughing.

And it might be because of what Billick said. Just being big
doesn't mean you can win. Cody comes to mind here. A lot of the guys today can't move laterally like our guys but I agree that Ngata is better than anyone.

His college coach said he was the best athlete to ever go to the school so we're talking about a rare talent and size but
Cody and the others don't match that SB line.

I don't have time to look it up, but I'm sure Ngata and Cody are bigger than Adams and Goose but they just keep missing the SB while Goose, Mc Creary and Adams won it all as the original big men.

    Just saying, ya know?

It was a lot more than just those guys though.

You can't compare that defense to anything the Ravens have really had since then. It was just a really special unit that clicked at just the right time.

The game is also very different now. A lot of teams are moving away from the massive DT's unless they run a 3-4 or some variant of the 3-4. It's all about pass rushers these days and while being a pass rusher and a run stopper are not necessarily mutually exclusive attributes for a DL'man, it is pretty common to see guys as one or the other. It is rare that you have both qualities in a DL'man.

The Giants have the model DL for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Pass rushing, pass rushing, and more pass rushing. They have some big guys, but generally speaking their starters are all quick pass rushers.

You can compare them. That team was one of the best in history right up there with the 85 Bears while this line is
    currently rated #27.

Haney just had a beat guy on who said the defense just didn't do enough to win even though they got the
turnovers Sunday. That 2000 D won it all. And talk about pass rushing, again, McCreary and Goose ruined
Gannon on the road to the SB. Ravens D couldnt knock Brady out in January.

Ngata is better than what Sam Adams ever was.

    End of story.

I'm talking g about that season. Sam Adams couldn't be blocked. Ngata disappeared during the playoffs last year.
