Re: Paging Gaither ....
It's just a fan site, but sound familiar???
http://boltbeat.com/2012/09/18/shoul...aither-on-i-r/
In (Norv) Turner’s most recent interviews he has seemed annoyed by even the mentioning of Gaither’s name. Meaning, in addition to the frustration of the fanbase, even the coaching staff is sick of the “Big Lazy situation.”
They still can't give up total hope:
So that leads us to this question. Should the Chargers place Jared Gaither on I.R. in an effort to free up a roster spot? It is no secret that San Diego could use more depth at both the offensive tackle and cornerback positions. Despite the fact that there aren’t many marquee names left on the free agent list, at any position, it would be nice to put this whole Gaither mess to bed for this season.
Gotta feel for the Chargers fans.

Re: Paging Gaither ....
I thought he was done with football when he left Baltimore. Who but a sucker would write him a paycheck?
Turns out there's a sucker born every minute...
edit: No, I posted he was done with football while he was still under contract to the Ravens, iirc. I just didn't think he'd play another down, anywhere.Last edited by festivus; 09-19-2012 at 03:17 PM.

His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

Re: Paging Gaither ....
LOL. His comments are priceless. Always saying some inane sentence that puts the blame somewhere else. It is as if the "training room" is keeping him off the field.
How many games did he play last year to get his contract? 5? Then plan on him finally declaring himself "healed" maybe with 7-8 games left and playing fairly well, then forcing the Chargers to keep him in their plans. Then rinse repeat next year, no camp, mysterious "spasms," 27 threads, totaling 1289 posts, on RussellStreetReports forum, etc, etc.
It is Reality TV.

After browsing through the forums throughout the day "Going Through The Motions" by Blue Oyster Cult has been ringing in my ears.

Oh that is rich. Gaither let's up two consecutive quarterback pressures leading to a strip sack and sealing a Chargers loss on the potential game winning drive. Gotta love em'.
