I Waited All Day for Sunday Night?
I Waited all Day for Sunday Night?—A Steelers message board contributor tries to make sense of yet another loss at Denver
Don’t tell me to get off the ledge
A score of posts I’ll write
Trying to understand how and why
My Steelers got beat on Sunday night
The loss of Clark was huge of course
Sans him, Polo is checked in might
His gray hair flowing in the wind
I waited all day for Sunday night?
Are we cursed with OL injuries?
From a decent line, 2 more bites
An Official Oline Sucks thread
Will make me feel better Sunday night
Adams the slow, Colon the twitchy
Legs the beaten, and Pounce the slight
Limpy’s the nickname of choice
For the OL as of Sunday night
Is it Hailey or Haley?
I hope he’s gone before I get it right
Playcalling for a peewee game
I stayed up for Sunday night?
And what about our corners?
A group that lives in fright
Bigger cushions than my sofa
Divot deep waiting for Sunday night
We lost the 3rd quarter 7-6
With only 36 ticks on D tonight
Still Allergic to tackling Thomas?
Or just a weird ass Sunday Night?
It’s not a good front seven
Salaries higher than a kite
If I hear Hood’s OK again I’ll scream
He was invisible Sunday night
Hampton, Timmons, Worilds, and Woodley
All look huge which isn’t right
A close camp gluttony contest
Must have preceded Sunday night
The roadmap’s there for all to see
To send our defense in flight
No answer for the no huddle
From our boys on Sunday night
Lebeau’s beloved in this town
But the blown leads just aren’t right
Enjoy Florida and apple sauce please
Ere we play again Sunday night
It’s hard to blame Big Ben
Converting 3rd’s to maintain the fight
But he stared down Porter like Boller
To give the game away Sunday night
I’m sure we are rebuilding
6-10 is about right
More cap concessions this offseason
And I could have slept through Sunday night

hahaha awesome man, that was a good read.

You know, now that I think about it Worilds and Woodley did look pretty heavy. More than usual at least.

That's funny stuff but if a Raven fan was posting something like that after a loss about our team on this board I'd be pretty pissed. I can imagine he's getting hammered where ever he posted that.

Re: I Waited All Day for Sunday Night?
It's original material. Here's the method:
1. Read the scout boards for the Steelers, which are imploding
2. Note a number of specific complaints (there is a treasure trove there)
3. Apply to verse using a consistent rhyme scheme, kinda like a limerick
Wayne Brady can do it in the time it take the girl to walk from her seat to the chair. It took me about 90 minutes to do this.

Re: I Waited All Day for Sunday Night?
It's still brilliant and very funny someone should post it on a steelers board as a lark.
Hey filmstudy i know you usually only break down ravens game film but the
49ers offense during the green bay game was using some very interesting route running and I wish you could do an explaination of the intricacies of it as it was fascinating to watch a creative offensive coordinator use misdirection during the route to get guys wide open so the lame quarterback they have can just complete an easy pass.
Thanks

I was wishing I was color blind last night with all that ugly bright orange and even uglier piss yellow all over my TV.

Re: I Waited All Day for Sunday Night?
Obviously I am glad they lost, but watching the game inspired my own rant in the middle of the third quarter. I posted it in the non-ravens section last night.

The whole thing is brilliant, FS.
This was my favorite part:

I salute your worditudiness, sir.Festivus
His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.
