Jah's strained calf still keeping him on the sidelines.

Could strained calf be a code word for "torn" calf or something?

I've strained and hyper-extended muscles before and it didn't take me months to heal.

Not that I'm really doubting him or anything, but it's odd that a strained calf is taking the big man so long to deal with.

They didn't put Reid on IR so they must think that it really is strained.

As a runner, I know from experience that can be a tricky injury. Weeks of rest and therapy can lull you into thinking you're healed, but as soon as you attempt to run, it pulls again. The only cure is more rest. I know he's frustrated as hell.

Same thing happens with hamstrings. You can think it's fully healed and feels great only to tweak it again. Muscle strains in general are tricky injuries especially for pro athletes that push their physical limits.

IDK about Jah Reid. I hear people on the board rave about him, but I don't see it. It seems like this guy is either always injured, or if he is healthy, he isn't very impressive. KO is a rookie, but anyone who sees him play can tell that he is the real deal. I think Reid is at best a career back-up.

Which, if true, is certainly ok.

However, you'd like to see more out of a 3rd rounder.

I just threw out my back about a half-hour ago, crawl to my laptop to take my mind off of it, and foolishly click on that. Now it hurts worse (from laughing) than it did before.

    Thanks a lot.
