Re: Here Comes The Turk -- Running List of Cuts (Merged)
I must've missed hearing that Payne was cut. Maybe we do keep 7 WRs.

Yea, I never saw Gorrer as a guy who had to sweat too much through this process. He showed us in real, live Sunday Night Football action that he can certainly play at a reasonable high level. I think Gorrer is good enough to start for a couple teams right now and be a nickleback on about 6-7 others. Right now, he's our #5 CB, which shows how good we are there.

Re: Here Comes The Turk -- Running List of Cuts (Merged)
Would like to see an OLB and a definite upgrade over Considine at S. I think the depth at LB is weak. Of course, Suggs being out really effects that, but we are very thin at OLB (especially now with talk that Upshaw could be placed on this new IR system).

Re: Here Comes The Turk -- Running List of Cuts (Merged)
As of this moment, I believe these are the 62 players that we haven't heard about being cut:
QB (3)- Flacco, Taylor, Painter
RB (4)- Rice, Pierce, Rainey, Berry
FB (1)- Leach
WR(7)- Boldin, Smith, Williams, Jones, Doss, Thompson, Payne
TE (4)- Dickson, Pitta, Bajema, Balasavage
OL (11)- McKinnie, Oher, Osemele, Birk, Yanda, Williams, Wragge, Harewood, Gradkowski, Reid, Antoine McClain
ST (3)- Cox, Tucker, Koch
DL (7)- Ngata, Cody, McPHee, Jones, Kemo, Hall, Tyson
LB (10)- Lewis, McClain, Upshaw, McClellan, Kruger, Ayanbadejo, Ellerbe, Kindle, R.Brown, Bynes
CB (7)- Webb, Smith, Williams, Gorrer, Graham, Jackson, Brown
S (5)- Reed, Pollard, Considine, Thompson, Quarles
That means 9 still have to go - I'm having trouble finding 9, unless Reid someone unexpected goes on IR.Last edited by B-more Ravor; 08-31-2012 at 03:23 PM.

Glad Rainey made it. He earned it. Just with they would have IR's Omar Brown and Nigel Carr with a mysterious ailment.

Good for Rainey. They will find a way to have Rice and Rainey (double R) in the backfield at the sametime. That = problem for everybody.

Re: Here Comes The Turk -- Running List of Cuts (Merged)
Sorry, no way I can see Graham getting cut. Even if he played poorly at CB, which he didn't, he was signed as a special teams ace. I agree with everything else, except Reid going to IR and possibly Bynes to IR.
Edit, cutting Tyson in favor of Payne, also seems to be a longshot. In fact, I think we received info that stated that Tyson has made the team didn't we?

Re: Here Comes The Turk -- Running List of Cuts (Merged)
I have a hard time seeing them keep 7 WRs, even with how good Payne played last night. That would be a shocker to me.
