    2012 Ravens Record?

One obvious thread that seems lacking so far even with the season now so close to starting is the prediction where we have a go at seeing what the Ravens'll do this year... unless I just clear missed it. If I did, my bad.

Most of the offseason questions have been answered and the remaining ones will be concluded soon enough as the last game of preseason is tonight to finalise those last couple of spots.

Ravens' schedule is not the most brutal possible, but it's certainly a big step up from last year. A lot of pro bowler quarterbacks for the year and a couple of tricky turnarounds.

    Monday 10 Sept: Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday 16 Sept: @ Philadelphia Eagles (previous game: @ Cleveland)
Sunday 23 Sept: New England Patriots (8:20 start) (previous game: Arizona)
Thurs 27 Sept: Cleveland Browns (previous game: Buffalo)
Sunday 7 Oct: @ Kansas City Chiefs (previous game: San Diego)
Sunday 14 Oct: Dallas Cowboys (previous game: BYE)
Sunday 21 Oct: @ Houston Texans (previous game: Green Bay, SNF)
    Sunday 28 Oct: BYE
Sunday 4 Nov: @ Cleveland Browns (previous game: San Diego)
Sunday 11 Nov: Oakland Raiders (previous game: Tampa Bay)
Sunday 18 Nov: @ Pittsburgh Steelers (8:20 start) (previous game: Kansas City, MNF)
Sunday 25 Nov: @ San Diego Chargers (previous game: @ Denver)
Sunday 2 Dec: Pittsburgh Steelers (previous game: @ Cleveland)
Sunday 9 Dec: @ Washington Redskins (previous game: NY Giants, MNF)
Sunday 16 Dec: Denver Broncos (previous game: @ Oakland, TNF)
Sunday 23 Dec: New York Giants (previous game: @ Atlanta)
Sunday 30 Dec: @ Cincinnati Bengals (previous game: @ Pittsburgh)

What do you think? Record? Individual W-Ls? How do you think the division(s) will pan out?

Not to be nitpicky at all, but Oct 21st should be @Houston.

    My guess...5-2 at the bye.

11-4 going to Cincinnati, for the division.
But I think the Steelers will go 12-4. So, tiebreakers go into effect.

11-5 is probably the most realistic record, possible 10-6. I think when you consider everything that's going on in the division right now, we should be favourites to win it. Can't count out the Steelers ever, and the Bengals seem to be emerging with a young talented (IMO slightly overrated) team.

Btw, one advantage the Bunguls and the Steelers have over us is an inferior schedule (on the face of it).

I'm going with 10-6. I don't know if they are going to suffer a hangover from last year's AFCCG loss, and the manner in which it was lost. At least the roster was purged of the two main culprits. I see a very tough schedule with 10 games against good quarterbacks, without our best pass rusher. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see 12 to 13 wins during the regular season. Not this year.

The Ravens have been a very good home team but they play a few tough games at home. I'm going to say they'll lose at least one home game. And being realistic, the goal is typically to split your road games; they're not going to win them all (see Seattle, Jax last year).
Pitt/SD/Pitt is a tough stretch too.

I'm going to say 11-5, possibly 10-6. I hope they win them all but that's my hunch right now

11-5. Losses to Philly, Houston, @Cincy(they'll be resting their starters), Oakland(rare home loss) and SD.

They'll finish third in the conference behind the Texans and Pats.

Someone said the Steelers will finish 12-4 and I say take that down by 2 wins. The Steelers for as much as we respect them have real issues. Their best defender has a bum knee. Their featured back will play but won't be right all year. Their o line is a mess(you can't keep expecting the rapist to keep making plays and playing through injury). Their d line is talented but young and may be ranked 4th of all d lines in the division. Their back end is nothing to right home about and if they aren't getting the pass rush they'll really be exposed.
