Re: BRYANT McKINNIE, SERIOUSLY??
Before I watch the Pittsburgh game, I'm going to go back and concentrate on how KO did at LG actually, I didn't really get a chance to see how he did, was too busy admiring how Flacco and the receivers played. Only noticed the mistake he made on an alleged hold.

Re: BRYANT McKINNIE, SERIOUSLY??
Ive held ohers past against him. Hes looked improved and more comfortable, but is preseason. He looked good in preseason the year he was awful too. I think you hit it on the head though. Top 5 OL play and thats mckinnie not williams. Doesnt even matter what oher can or cant do at LT. Eith what hes shown, albeit PS id be willing to give him a shot, but id also give KO a shot, but next year not this one.
Those against mckinnie, i get it, but that game the other night he showed really improved run blockong. Hes struggled in the past but he was getting to the second level on some of those run plays. Id recommend rewatching it if you can with an open mind. I dont think he played bad let alone as bad as some are saying. Oher arguably played worse on the right side and continues to have issues with flase starts. Sugar offense may not be the best for him honestly. Im not sure but it seemed like a lot of the run plays to the right were duds barely getting back to LOS. Left were usually gainers at least. Just my opinion. I think just as some have issues with Oher and let it blind them somes issues with mckinnie blind them. At the end of the day i want Ws i dont really care whos where as long as thats the end result.-JAB

Re: BRYANT McKINNIE, SERIOUSLY??
After watching KO, and the general Oline play...
McKinnie wasn't as bad as I thought, he motsly looked good out there, with one or two mistakes.
Oher played well, but had one FS.
KO is a keeper at LG, he was an absolute beast at times out there, and even pulled here and there. I thought Bobbie Williams was an automatic starter when we signed him, however I think the coaches are going to find it hard to keep KO off the field. KO needs to work on his footing, and had a few bad plays here and there as rookies do, but all signs point towards him having a solid rookie year (if he ends up starting) at guard. Bobbie Williams may have to be what Andre Gurode was last season (but probably a big upgrade over Gurode). The best play that stood out to me was when Flacco threw a dart to Torrey Smith, which Smith did catch, but couldn't maintain possession sadly, but KO lunged forward and slammed a defensive tackle to the ground (could not see who it was exactly). KO reminds me of a younger Mike Iupati at times.
Matt Birk was solid as usual, really still don't understand the hate he gets from certain fans. Bobbie Williams was solid but nothing special, looked slow at times.
Btw on a defensive note, I had a little look at Upshaw. Upshaw actually played a lot better than Kruger in this one, nothing McClellan did stood out to me, but he still looks like the best edge setting OLB/DE on this roster (with Suggs out). I still think Upshaw has a big shot at starting though, Kruger needs to step his game up a bit. Although Kruger should have had a sack, but just came up very short.
Jameel McClain is going to have a career year, he was a beast out there. Bernard Pollard was immense, Ray Lewis is still the man, and Webb was well.... how we all expect him to play. Perhaps the best nickel corner in football right now, and a top 5 outside corner for sure. Jimmy Smith was good, minus one mistake, he let Blackmon get open on a comeback.
Time to take notes for the Pittsburgh game.

David Decastro is being carted off with a serious looking leg injury... Doesn't look good right now.
