New CBA responsible for poor Ravens tackling?

105.7 talked about the poor tackling of the Ravens
secondary last night but said it is an NFL
epedimic caused the by the new CBA after the lock out
    last year.

The new CBA calls for less practices and less snaps,
so it is hurting the tackling of all the teams.

DOM CAPERS the D-coord for Packers said the poor
tackling cost them a second straight trip to the
    SB.

They are tyring to cut down on concussions and injuries
which is good but they're hurting the quality of the
    game.

I remember in little league they set up 4 RBs and
I stood by myself. Then the coach sent a Rb to
me and I tackled him. Then another, and then another.
I stood there for 30 mins doing nothing but tackling people.
My body was bruised all over when I got
home but I learned how to tackle.

    Does anyone agree with this?

Its pre season players dont want to get hurt so

    1. They are not putting in their best effort to tackle bigger players.

    2. They dont want to hurt other players by making a big tackle in pre season.

The Ravens tackled fine last year and I did not notice a difference in any of the teams we played either.

What cost the Packers was KC putting a blueprint out on how to stop their offense which made their already bad D on the field longer and exposed. They were hidden because the packers were blowing everyone out. Remember the 2007 pats, their D was not good but was hidden by their offense until we played them and put out a blue print and then their games became closer until they lost in the SB.

    Pretty much this.

The whole league is having issues tackling. There are so few padded practices that it's really suffering. You're going to see to big runs this season.

Sorry, I don't buy it. They still know how to tackle. I pretty much agree with Benny.

They sure should know how to. BTW, the biggest beef vs Jimmy was his poor tackling.
I posted a vid where he grabbed a guy around the shoulders to bring him down and the runner bumped him off.

Everyone should know how to tackle at this level and shouldn't need all those
repititions. That's why I played football. It was legal to hit people and I loved
blocking as much as tackling. Loved to hit a guy in his gut on the line when he
jumped up and raised his arms to knock down a pass. He always hesitated after
    that.

    Great posts guys, especially Benny.
