its not even about what harbaugh said, its about reporting what he said accurately and the spin he took on it.

The Sad Sack of Krispy Kreme Krumbs is a well-known serial shit-stirrer. It's his only compensation for lack of judgement & of writing ability.

Doesn't Preston know the fat kids have to stick together?!

Preston likes to stir things up, but he's right about Harbaugh praising McKinnie, "he made it through the whole practice." Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

The truth is probably somewhere in between.

The source is Mike Preston. His opinion literally means nothing. That said, McKinnie has NEVER been a great run blocker. And I dont care. Run behind Oher and Yanda and let McKinnie keep Joe upright. This fanbase was spoiled by JO. Not every left tackle is a boss run blocker AND a stonewall pass blocker. When I hear about him getting bull rushed or letting guys get by him, then its time to worry. Call him a fatass whatever, he saved the season last year. Oher and Jah Reid. Yeah. That would have ended well.

What you are suggesting is partly why Vince Wilfork was able to key in on Baltimore's run plays in the AFC Championship Game. It is also why their rush offense struggled in 2010, because they could only run to the left side that year. They need to be able to run to both sides. Otherwise, the misdirection, something that Rice is useful for, loses effectiveness.

Mike Preston usually likes to take the most negative version of what a quote could mean when it comes to the Ravens. He always tries to paint the darkest picture possible.

Since you clearly didn't read through the thread, let me repost was JAB already posted. Here's the full quote from Harbaugh:

“He worked hard, he made it through the whole practice, which is something because football shape is something different than regular conditioning test shape,” Harbaugh said
Thats not a ringing endorsement, but its certainly not an indictment either. It shows he's in football shape, which means he's much farther along than he was at this point last year

The funny thing is that McKinnie is probably in a better position at this point, than he was at the same point last season, even after shedding the weight and being signed by the Ravens.

Preston will have to do better stories this year, the Sun has a new guy reporting on the Ravens. Preston could be out before the season is over.
