Harry Reid claims Romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years.

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/07/politi...xes/index.html

"This whole issue is not about me," Reid said in his home state of Nevada on Monday. "Mitt Romney's the first presidential candidate since his dad ran not to release his income tax returns. He's released one income tax return, and that points toward the Bahamas, Switzerland and a few other foreign countries. This whole controversy will end very quickly if he releases his income tax returns, like everybody else has done."

Romney has released his tax return from 2010 and an estimate from 2011. He has vowed to release his full 2011 return once it's completed, but he will not release past years', as previous presidential candidates have done.

I heard Harry Reid traffics cocaine. I heard it from a friend who says he knows Reid. Of course, I can't say for sure if it's true, but the burden is on Harry Reid to prove he didn't.

Well, now this isn't about me. Reid should just come clean about it and this can all go away.

Why 10 years, why not 7, 8, 9? As weird as it may be the nice round number of 10 tells me he just picked a number out of the air.

In my opinion the whole why won't he release his taxes had a lot more traction till this came out. Dingy Harry coming out and saying an anonymous source tells me he hasn't paid taxes in 10 years, prove me wrong. For all intents and purposes he might has well say he has never paid them, basically the same thing.

On a side note, I saw a survey that said 46% say he should release more, 46% say 2 years is enough and of the 46% that said he should 22% said it would affect their vote, my guess is their mind was already made up.

BTW - John McCain only released two years, same with Reagan. Hear anything calls for McCain to release more???? Nope, it's non-issue. Here is a good opinion piece about why the want them.

A class warfare talking point, nothing more.

I love how the media never points out that the Obamas are wealthy too.

If Mitt Romney weren't one of the wealthiest people in the country, no one would give a damn.

    Except he isn't.

He doesn't even crack the Forbes 400

Since when did having success become a bad thing in this country?

When one party has convinced their base that the reason they aren't successful is because other people are.

I didn't say THE wealthiest, I said one of them...and when your net worth is what his is I certainly think you could argue that he's extremely wealthy and one of the wealthiest people in the country. He's no Bill Gates, but his net worth of nearly $230 million, which would put him as one of the wealthiest to potentially become President as well.

At a time when the economy is in the dumps - for the most part - and unemployment is what it is, I'm not surprised in the least that many are looking at Romney, Romney's wealth, and wondering how can he related to the average Joe?

I'm not saying it's right or wrong and by no means am I stating that having success is a bad thing in this country, but considering the number of corrupt CEO's and board members on massive companies and corporations who do - in fact - move money into off-shore accounts to avoid taxes, it's not surprising in the least for the average Joe to look at Romney and wonder if he did the same thing.

    This is very true.

    Misdirection and disinformation.
