Re: Observations from practice at the stadium

I'm not surprised that Figgins and Balasavage are dropping passes. Both were primarily blocking TE's and rarely had passes thrown their way.

Drew just flat out isn't a good player. It was a valiant effort trying to convert him down to TE, but sometimes it's better to cut bait.

If he dropped anything it was very early on and I missed it. I've read lots of positive about his training camp. Everyone is saying he's doing a much better job with his hands. I'm not particularly concerned about the TE position, but the 3rd stringers look like garbage to me.

I don't know why the team has no interest in re-signing Kris Wilson. I thought he had a good rep as a blocker and special teams guy...and while he didn't have great hands, he didn't have stones for hands either.

What RBs where out there besides Rainey and Rice? Was AA or Berry out there as well? I know that Pierce is hurt. Of who was out there did anyone stand out?

Out of all the current back ups, all I'm hearing about is the undrafted rookies Rainey and Damien Berry impressing right now.

I haven't been able to watch a practice yet, but from what I've read, AA has to be pretty disappointing...at least as disappointing as a 7th round pick can be.

I don't think he's necessarily had a bad camp, but he certainly hasn't done anything to stand out.

Rainey has been impressive, but he has been getting most of his work with the second and third teams. That must be taken into consideration. Berry does not surprise me, because he actually resembles Rice in his style of play.

Yeah and he dropped the easy one across the middle that hit him square in the chest.

Now, I'm not even sure it was him. One of those TEs caught a nice pass from Tyrod Taylor in the end zone. I didn't even care which one it was at that point of practice though. They had already dropped the sky.
