I think were also confusing 3rd down with coverage. Like i said id agree he should be out there but not because of his coverage skills. I would say by the stats you posted he clearly isnt a liability... If you limit those situations. Which they clearly have imo. Theres other LB on this team id rather have guarding a gronk witten etc than ray lewis one on one. 3rd down 11 on 11 is a different story. Like i said, agree to disagree.
I do agree we still need to improve in that area, especially with ba being our specialist and older as well. Crossing my fingers carr becomes that.-JAB

Someone brought up the real issue. It's not about taking Ray out, so much as it is about who you are replacing him with. Not much with this group.

It's a smart move by Ray. The game has changed teams pass more now, hardly any FB's anymore. Plus, ravens play alot of good passing qb's this year. Plus he still has 700lbs of beef in front of him. Wise move.
