Jon Huntsman to boycott GOP Functions
http://www.therightperspective.org/2...op-convention/
“I will not be attending this year’s convention, nor any Republican convention in the future,” the former Republican presidential candidate told the Salt Lake City Tribune, “until the party focuses on a bigger, bolder, more confident future for the United States — a future based on problem solving, inclusiveness, and a willingness to address the trust deficit, which is every bit as corrosive as our fiscal and economic deficits.”
I wonder if we'll start seeing more of this from other Republicans.
I definitely feel that both parties (Reps & Dems) have lost their ways over the years and really need to revisit their foundation and core values.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Jon Huntsman to boycott GOP Functions
I don't think that many will skip it, I think he's just burned about getting so little attention during the primaries. Just political theater if you ask me.
As far as your second point, I agree. Nobody wants to get anything done anymore, just pass the blame so they can get reelected. I don't see this country REALLY turning around until there are term limits.

Re: Jon Huntsman to boycott GOP Functions
A half dozen Dems are skipping their parties convention as well.
Nothing new here. Happens every Presidential election.

I thought it was interesting that he, in particular, was skipping it because isn't he a candidate for VP?

Re: Jon Huntsman to boycott GOP Functions
I feel differently. I think that both parties stick to their guns instead of doing what's best for the American people. One of my colleagues is a steadfast democrat from the north east. (She's also a Squeeler's fan but I only pick on her about it every other day.) Just for fun we sat down and knocked out a way to lower taxes, improve the budget, and keep tabs on big businesses. There was a lot of compromise on both sides; she wanted gay marriage, I wanted stricter immigration reform. She got civil unions and I got work visas with a 15% tax on them.
Instead of common sense, we have what amounts to a high school student council election. Group of dumb-asses A promises better food in the cafeteria, Group of dumb-asses B promises no homework."A moron, a rapist, and a Pittsburgh Steeler walk into a bar. He sits down and says, “Hi I’m Ben may I have a drink please?”
