Wow-first big poll - cnn gives mitt big lead in battleground states

OK HR - We were looking for a big post SCOTUS poll
and here it is.

Remember Galen's battle ground thread and how OBY was killing Mitt. No mas. CNN has Mitt ahead in battleground states 51-43% in first big
post scotus poll. Somebody is pissed.

However, neither candidate needs to win all 15 battleground states but this
is a big boost for Mitt. He wasn't that far behind in the EC vote.

Another poll says 1/3 of GOP voters that weren't going to vote are going to now.

Meanwhile, Mitt's off to Israel to get their support and show he will support them.

I'm going to throw cold water on that poll. Its a CNN poll. I don't believe anything they say at this point. Honestly, it could be a backhanded fear tactic because they know Obama is having big trouble getting donors to pony up. They show a poll showing Romney up big in hopes it spurs the left.

Sad to think that way, but with this media nothing is off the table.

Yea Sting but, this time it's for a conservative, not a fucking liberal. We've been saying all these years that they poll mostly DEMs and word the surveys for the answer they want.

So somebody they're polling is voting for him. Maybe they've wised up. I've never seen a CNN poll this big for a conservative before.

Not only that, it matches the big money Mitt has raised since Fri - over $4M and over $76M for the month of May. OBY got $60M.

Nobody has out-raised OBY in last 5 years. See

I had Mitt only 20 points behind in the battleground on Galen's thread and that was
before SCOTUS.

I also gave him 4 of the 5 states Rahm Emmanuel, the brains that got OBY elected,
who said it comes down to 5 states and I
said he could win the 5th state - VA.

I tend to buy it for now.

Rasmussen now has Mitt up by +2. He led all last week by +5.

Then OBY got his SCOTUS bounce. Then it was tied yesterday
and Mitt goes back up with all the backlash from SCOTUS.

Somebody is pissed.

Rassmussen is a much better indicator because the poll is for likely voters, not registered voters which the CNN poll is.

I'm just not buying the CNN poll right now. Now, Mitt opened up a 5 point lead in North Carolina and is at 50% (which is NOT good for Obama, no matter how you slice it), so if CNN is polling people in NC, that COULD have some effect. But I just don't see that big a lead in battleground states yet.
