Re: Supreme Court decision on O'BUMMER CARE TODAY????

Looks like it's Thursday, the last day of its session.

Looks like either part or all of it will be thrown out.

Fact is, only 33% of the country is for it.

They did however throw out most of Arizona's immigration law but
kept it's most important plank - allowing police to stop and question
illegals if they think they are here illegally.

    _____________________________________________
But that’s the one part of the law the Supreme Court upheld unanimously, with the justices saying they will give police a chance to see if they can implement the law properly without violating civil rights.

So they will probably do the same with OBUMMER CARE and
throw out part of it - the Mandate to which OBY still says makes
the entire bill go. W/o it - nutten.

But guess what. They can question anyone they need to but, they can't do anything about it, and DHS won't do anything about it.

Hmmmmn. Very interesting. 0x0=0 I suppose.

Homeland Security suspended all agreements with Arizona police
    according to the link above.

I was over in Aberdeen yesterday on Rt 40 and saw 3 cop cars
profiling an elderly minority - 3 cop cars for one old man.

They profile elderly people on the way to church over there. The cops
have been going crazy on everyone looking in your car for seat belt
violations. I was at a light doing nothing wrong and a cop pulled
me over and said his computer showed my registration had suspended.

I said what the hell? I gave it to him plus my license and they both were in order and he said you're free to go but he had no reason
to type in my number. Said his computer showed it was expired
registration. I said get it fixed. He said you better go to DMV to
see them before I give you a warning.

It was late at 0200 as I returned home from singing on a Sat morning. I don't drink so I wasn't driving wrong or fast and still
    got pulled over.

Someone makes a great point here.

Dems on Capitol Hill had already started crafting legislation in anticipation of the AZ law being upheld. They want the Congress to flat out outlaw any state from enforcing immigration laws. BRILLIANT!! Brilliant idea, Dems! I think that you should not only go forward with that, but make it a key plank to your platform this November. Promote the heck out of it too. Tell the American public how "out of touch" the GOP is for wanting immigration law enforced.

Key vote was Kennedy the supposed conservative who sided with
the liberals here. Both sides gave him enough wriggle room to
reel him on their side for Thursday's showdown.

The liberals want to keep him to uphold OBUMMBER CARE of course,
and the conservatives gave him room where the law was kept but
the profiling was basically thrown out.

Cops can still stop suspected illegals but they have to do a quick
search on them and the gov't won't cooperate as far as legal
guidance to the cops as required by this law making it more moot for a modest victory for OBY.

But when has OBY ever followed the law as Prez?

So Kennedy goes liberal for now.

Also in a funny move Kagen recused herself since whe worked vs
that law as atty but she didn't recuse for OBUMMER CARE when she
    helped write that.

    Liberals are total hypocrites.

About 24 more hours to go or less. Sometime
tomorrow we'll know but rumor has it Ginsburg
is writing the disenting opinion while Roberts is
    writing for the majority.

Scott Rasmussen was on TV and said it doesn't matter what the SC decides. There's not going to
    be OBAMA CARE.

If they uphold it, it will still be done away with.

The country just doesn't want it.

I don't typically watch Hannity, he is way to partisan for me. But I watched a focus group he had last night were 2/3 of the people voted for BHO and many of them didn't want it. More than a handful already said their not voting for him again.

I am not sure what's going to happen today, I got a weird feeling it will be upheld, or at least most of it. If that's the case bye bye BHO.

Yea, that's what I've been hearing that most of it will be upheld but
only the mandate will be thrown out. Afterall, that was the only thing the states argued on - the mandate was uncostitutional.

OBY keeps insisting that it is needed to make the rest of it go.
However, much of it has been implemented already.

    Latest stats just posted:

    39'% are for it.
    49% are against it
53% say all of it should be thrown if if mandate is thrown out
    16% are unsure

That's about the same as it's been since it was passed.

Insurance providers say if the mandate is just thrown out and
the rest is upheld our insurance rates will increase.

    This really sucks.

Oh yea, I have hear rumors that Roberts is writing for the majority
and Ginsburg is writing the dissenting opinion. Roberts law professor thinks he is writing for the majority and will uphold all
    of it.

Roberts and Kennedy are the two I've been worried about all along as we saw in the Arizona Law. They are always the swing votes
    and go liberal many times.
